Play offs

The Falcons lost today in the first round of the play offs to the Deer Park Tigers. They tried hard, but just couldn't get much going. The team was pretty dejected, as the season is over for the Falcons.

The Sr. Falcons and the Sophmore Falcons also lost their first round games today, (the Freshman team did not make the playoffs), so the entire Clear Lake Falcon League is finished for the year.

Team party will be a few weeks. Raymond is somewhat glad the season is done, as he was getting pretty tired. He is a mess of bruises.

Play-in Game

We played Pasenda today, because they lost to Beaumont on Tuesday, and we won 26-12. Because we beat Beaumont during the season, the Falcons are seeded 3rd, while the Bulls are seeded 4th. So we play the 2nd seed on Saturday at 2pm.

The game was out in Deer Park at 6:30, I had to have Raymond there at 5:15 and we didn't get home until nearly 10pm since we went to eat after. It was a long day.

Raymond's 11th Birthday Part II

We had Ray, Ginnie, Butch and some of Raymond's friends over for cake and ice cream this afternoon. The kids played the Wii, painted with the art set Ginnie brought for Raymond, and played Apples to Apples in the den while we watched football. Raymond ended up with about 60 bucks and 50 dollars in gift cards to Toys R US. Butch gave him an aquarium for his baby red eared slider. It was a good day.

Play-in Games Tie breakers

During the regular season we beat Beaumont, Beaumont beat Pasenda, and Pasenda beat us, so that is why there is a need for the play-in games. They can't use the regular seaon results because of the way we all ended in the head to heads.

Here's how it will go -
Pasenda and Beaumont play on Tuesday. Whoever wins is in, but the seeding depends on who wins on Thursday. We will play the loser on Thursday. Winner is in playoffs, loser is done.

Week 12 Game 10 vs Alvin Yellowjackets

This was another game that was supposed to be played earlier in the season, but was postponed due to the storm. If the Falcons, get the win, they are automatically in the playoffs, but if it is a lose, and depending on it Pasenda wins or loses, there may be a tie breaker game played.

At the end of the forth quarter, the score was tied, and because the game had playoff implications, it went to OT. FIVE OTs later, Alvin won. Our boys scored in the third OT period, and Alvin scored as well. Scored again in the 5th OT, but the Falcons missed the extra point, and Alvin scored and made their extra point. Ugh. It was a hard fought game.

So - there will be 2 play-in games because three teams are tied for the 3rd and 4th seed spots. We will find out Sunday when we play and depending on when, we might not know until after Tuesday who we play.

Week 11 Game 9 at LaPorte Cowboys

This game was not orginally on our schedules, but it was put here to make up for the game against the Galveston Hurricanes, that we were supposed to play, ironically, the day after Hurrican Ike hit Galveston and Houston (9/13). Unfortunately, the Galveston team was not able to regroup after the storm, so the league assigned anyone that was supposed to play them to play another non-confernce team.

So, we played the Cowboys of LaPorte and lost.

Week 10 game 8 at Pasenda Bears

Lost this away game, the parents at this game were obnoxious! We moved during half time beause of the woman behind us~she wouldn't shut up!
