Bringing Barney Home

Ray and Raymond drove out to Huntsville Friday night to pick up the puppy. He was five weeks on Thursday. They got to see the momma (the yellow lab) and daddy (the black lab) at the breeder's house. These are some pictures from Friday night, as well as Barney's first bath here at home.

Puppy Shopping!

Tonight we went to PetSmart to get some supplies for the our new doggie. We bought a crate, a pad for the floor of the crate, feed and water bowls, a collar and leash, and some doggie shampoo (he kind of smelled bad when we were holding him last night!) About 30 minutes after we got home, Raymond asked if he would fit in the crate. Ray laughed, because he said he knew Raymond would try to get in it! He climbed in, and even put the dog collar on! He then put his crackers in the food bowl! What a goof ball!

Puppy Finding!

We drove 86 miles to Huntsville tonight to look at the litter of puppies we found online. We knew we wanted a black male, and the breeder had 3 black males, along with 3 black females and 3 chocolate males. The chocolates are already spoken for. The breeder brought out all six of the black puppies so we could see them. So cute! We held all of the males and played with them for a bit before deciding on the one we wanted. They are only 4 weeks old, so we will have to wait at least a week, possibly two, before we can bring him home. These are a couple of pics we took of our new puppy, Barney!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year 2009!

We drove over to Ruth's Chris Resturant for dinner, and then over to the Elk's Lodge to meet Ray's grandparents. The lodge has recently been renovated, after being battered by Hurrican Ike back in September. This was the first time I had been over there since the work was finished, and it looks really nice. We stayed until almost midnight before driving home. New Year's Day, we spent hanging out at the house, and went to Micheal's for some scrapbook supplies.

Hope your day was happy!
